Priority Insurance Underwriters (PIU) began humbly, “doing business as” Market Access Insurance, offering Insurance alternatives for the Arizona Construction industry during the Hard Market of the late 1990’s. As the market has changed, so has PIU – now offering coverage for a full array of businesses and industries over the Western United States (including AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT, TX & WA). We have added a number of insurance markets over the last few years, including a binding facility and a few on-line programs that enable us to place many different accounts very quickly and efficiently!

However, our recent successes are better defined by our customers – the smaller, independent Retail Agents who need assistance both with quick quote turn around times and risk appetite beyond their existing markets’ capabilities. Since we work without volume commitments, we rely upon our stellar service to generate more business opportunities from our Retail Agent customers.  We’ve found that volume commitments get in the way of helpful assistance to insurance buyers from their Insurance Agents – join (and support) PIU as a locally owned, easy-to-use Wholesale Broker, Managing General Agency, and Binding Facility General Agency.
